Get face to face with the unexpected
In three years, THU has grown rapidly from small-scale European festival to international status, attracting a devoted gathering of digital artists from around the world. Now a sought-after event in the CG artist’s calendar, the six-day festival of talks, workshops, portfolio reviews, mentorship sessions, art battles, and recruitment events brings together the best talent in art, VFX, games, and animation from the world over.
THU breaks down the boundaries between speakers and attendees by promoting a social atmosphere that encourages conversation and questions, 20 hours a day. Troia has become a Mecca for artists, where they can learn, play, apply for jobs, and reignite their passion for their craft.
In 2015, THU TV launched, offering online attendees the chance to experience the event from the comfort of their homes. With hundreds of hours of recorded content, the footage lives on as everlasting inspiration for the THU Tribe. What’s more, throughout the year, THU also hosts meetups across the world – from Brazil to Singapore.
Digital artistry, everywhere you turn
When THU eventgoers look to the presentation screens in the auditoriums, they can immerse themselves in the stunning behind-the-scenes art, animations and footage from the biggest film and game projects, presented brilliantly and without a hitch by Lenovo workstations. In between the scheduled talks, attendees can participate in brainstorm sessions and workshops where they have access to some of the most powerful graphics on the planet. THU uses Lenovo to power all of its events, displaying great works by the most celebrated artists in the world.

“THU is like Burning Man meets TED, a global gathering of the world’s new generation of creators.”
